A travel clinic a short drive from Shaw
Oldham Clinic is the private travel service at Westwood Pharmacy, about three miles from Shaw on Featherstall Road North. Shaw and Crompton is a former mill town with a settled residential feel, and from here it is a simple run down the A663 towards Oldham. We are a NaTHNaC-designated Yellow Fever centre where a GPhC-registered pharmacist reviews your itinerary and gives every recommended vaccine in one visit, with no GP referral and no long wait for an appointment.
Trusted by Shaw travellers
The people of Shaw travel as widely as anyone in the borough, from family holidays and cruises to long-haul trips and visits to relatives abroad. We also look after pilgrims preparing for Hajj and Umrah: Meningitis ACWY is mandatory for the Saudi visa and must have been given within the last five years, so we administer it and issue the certificate the same visit, alongside the Hepatitis A, Typhoid and flu jabs usually recommended. Whatever the trip, you leave protected and with the paperwork your destination requires.
Honest advice, every vaccine in stock
We do not sell generic bundles. Your pharmacist checks your destination, length of stay and planned activities against current TravelHealthPro (NaTHNaC) guidance, then recommends only what you genuinely need and tells you which vaccines you may be able to get free on the NHS first. Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, Cholera and Meningitis ACWY are all held on-site, with malaria tablets prescribed and dispensed in the same appointment. See our booking page for current vaccine prices.
